  3.     This programme was written on an A500 with 2.5Meg (500k chip) and a hard 
  4.     drive. It has also been tested on an A500 with 1 Meg (500k chip). Both 
  5.     machines run WB 1.3, the first has kickstart 1.3 and the second has 
  6.     kickstart 1.2. It has also had somelimited testing on a 2000 running
  7.     WB 2.x.  It works on these machines with no known bugs.
  8.     If you are running it on some other system and you have problems please 
  9.     let me know.
  10.     This file details known problems on some other systems together with
  11.     possible fixes. It also contains some general information about running
  12.     AMOS programmes.

  14.      This programme was programmed by Andrew Kreibich with AMOSv1.3 
  15.      (C) 1990 Mandarin/Jawx (Europress) and compiled with the AMOS compiler.
  16.      It should run on any amiga including A1200s.

  18.      Note: to quit at any time (without using the menu) press Ctrl-C.

  25.     I have heard a number of reports that AMOS has problems with old A1000s. 
  26.     If the programme gurus, locks up your machine, loses the mouse pointer 
  27.     or anything else unusual then try it on another machine. I have no way 
  28.     of fixing it to work on old A1000s.

  35.     This programme assumes that the system font is topaz 8.
  36.     If any of the text is too big for the buttons this is because
  37.     you have changed the system font.
  38.     If this causes you problems then I can send you a version which 
  39.     will set the font for you. (Only available when you register, please
  40.     let me know if you want it)

  45.      MOUSE PROBLEMS?
  46.  
  47.      Some users have reported a disappearing mouse pointer when running 
  48.      DMouse at the same time. If this happens to you and you are running
  49.      Dmouse or any other sort of fancy mouse accessory then turn it off and
  50.      try again.

  52.      If you are running on a faster system (eg you are lucky enough to afford
  53.      an accelerator card) then you might have a few problems with timing. This
  54.      could manifest itself by refusing to accept the mouse click until you
  55.      have hit it a few times. Annoying, I know, but I have tried to prevent 
  56.      this with carefully structured loops etc. but unfortunately I have no
  57.      way of testing it! (as I said above it works fine on my machine). I have
  58.      two solutions to this.

  60.        1. turn off the accelerator (if possible)
  61.  
  62.        2. register and persaude a few hundred others to do likewise so 
  63.           that I can afford an accelerator and test it out myself!
